Comparison Shopping for Colostrum Supplements
It’s back to basics for this lesson. Online shopping for colostrum supplements shouldn’t be difficult at all if you follow one simple guide. All things being relatively equal, it’s the price PER OUNCE that you need to be on the lookout for. You don’t even need a calculator. It’s typically right there on the product listing.
Here’s an example borrowed from Amazon, and the question is “Which product is actually cheaper? The $39.99 product or the $75.95 product?”

Instead of making your selection by simply the product price (less expensive vs. more expensive), select the “best deal” by the actual amount of colostrum you’ll be receiving and the best price point (cost per ounce). Yes, in this example, you may have to pay more up front for the larger quantity product, but you save more than 3x the money in the long run.
Don’t be misled by the type of container used, or the perceived size of the container either. It’s not about jars, canisters, or bags. Again, it’s about how many ounces are in that jar or that canister, or that bag. Amazon product images are notoriously hard to gauge the actual product size. Vendors aren’t likely to post an image of their “small” jar adjacent to their competitor’s “large” jar. So again, compare price per ounce rather than the size of the container.
Saving money on colostrum supplements or any other consumable product doesn’t have to be difficult if you use your noodle. Now that you know, you can shop like a pro. As for colostrum quality and bioavailability, well… that’s a lesson for another time.
